Chapter Fifteen
Sakura, Tomoyo and Shaoran are trapped in a labyrinth and Shaoran says this is the Maze card and the only way to defeat it is to find the way out. Meanwhile back at Sakura's house Touya comes home and Fujitaka notices he seems upset. Back in the Maze the group is trying to find a way out when Sakura suggests Shaoran use his compass board. It however doesn't work since it was designed to find Clow Cards and since Maze is card, the sense is all around them. Suddenly Sakura gets the idea to use the Fly card but the Maze walls close in on her. Back at Sakura's house Touya tells his father that Kaho Mizuki has returned and is Sakura's new math teacher. As it turns out, Touya met Kaho when he was in middle school and she was his student teacher and because they were both able to sense things started dating. However, at the end of her year of student teaching she left him, leaving Touya now scarred and sad. Fujitaka is sympathetic to Touya's pain, but soon Touya notices it is late and Sakura has still not returned home. Sakura, Tomoyo and Syaoran are still stuck in the maze and Tomoyo realizes it's time for dinner and that their families are probably worried about them. Sakura asks if Shaoran's family will worry, but he says he lives alone while his mother and four sisters are in Hong Kong. Sakura asks if he gets lonely living alone and he says he doesn't, but blushes a little. Back home Touya decides to take his motorcycle and look for Sakura, while back in the maze Sakura and the others have just about given up a shadow approaches them. The shadow belongs to Mizuki-sensei, who sensed something strange since she is the daughter of the caretaker of Tsukimine shrine. She says it's time to leave but Syaoran says they've been looking forever and had not found an exit. Using her magic bell, she begins breaking the walls of the Maze down and the group eventually get out. The Maze tries to form a new maze but Sakura is reluctant to use her magic in front of Mizuki-sensei. Her teacher turns around to give her some privacy and Sakura seals the card. Touya runs over and starts to yell at Sakura, but Kaho tells him to be nice because she could not help the trouble she was in. Tomoyo goes home and before Shaoran leaves he warns her to be careful around Mizuki-sensei. Kaho seems happy to see Touya, but Touya is still upset with her. Kaho reminds him of what she said 'when we meet again we will have both found the people we love'. Suddenly Yukito appears saying Fujitaka was worried about his children. When Kaho spots Yukito she gets a strange sense around him, and tells Touya he's been the same as always. Mizuki tells them goodnight and even though Sakura was warned about her, she can't help but like her new teacher.

The two teen boys notice the noise but choose to ignore it and instead talk about Mizuki-sensei, but Touya is still not ready to talk about her. Back in Sakura's room, one of the books Kero-chan knocked over was the Clow book, and Kero-chan once again says 'Yue'. Back at the beach Sakura is preparing the classes and mean and talks with Mizuki sensei to thank her for her help and ask how she knew Touya. She explains she was his student teacher and warns Sakura to take care of herself, confusing the girl. Later that evening they talk about the courage test they must take at the cave tomorrow. Naoko tells a ghost story about the cave and how a group of students similar to themselves went on a similar test and no one returned, freaking poor Sakura out. But before Naoko can finish her story a teacher checks up on them. The girls decide to finish the story and go to sleep, but of course poor Sakura can't because she's too scared. She decides to go talk with the teachers when Shaoran sneaks up on her and tells her he senses something from the cave. Sakura asks if it's a Clow Card, but Shaoran isn't sure. He turns the subject back to Mizuki-sensei and asks Sakura if she notices anything weird about her. Skaura says Mizuki-sensei makes her feel 'hanyan'. Syaoran tells her Mizuki-sensei is really powerful because of her magic item and to be careful around her. Sakura says she can't help liking her, and when she likes someone she can only feel happy around them, like she does around Yukito. Shaoran admits he likes Yukito too and asks Sakura how long she's liked Yukito. She tells him she's liked Yukito since he transfered to her brother's school during the first year, third trimester and became friends with her brother. Syaoran admits liking him the first time they met and Yukito gave him a meat bun. Sakura says even though they are both younger than Yukito they can both still like him. Chapter Seventeen
Sakura and Tomoyo enter the cave and Sakura is royally terrified. Tomoyo tries to comfort her when out of no where a ghost appears. The ghost is actually their teacher, Terada-sensei, but when Sakura turns around a second time to look at her teacher again, he has disappeared. Syaoran and Yamazaki are the last two to enter the cave and when Mizuki-sensei hands them candles, Syaoran is still suspitious of his math teacher. He and Yamazaki enter the cave, but immediately, Shaoran senses something. Back in another part of the cave Sakura and Tomoyo notice something very strange, they had not run into any people since Terada-sensei tried to scare them. Since there is only one way in or out of the cave, they should have seen other people from their class. Suddenly they hear someone screaming. They find Naoko, Chiharu and Rika scared and crying and saying everyone has disappeared! Sakura goes to comfort Chiharu and Naoko disappears too! Then Rika disappears and Chiharu disappears right from Sakura's arms. Sakura realizes it sounds exactly like Naoko's ghost story and she and Tomoyo run to get a teacher's help. Suddenly Tomoyo vanishes too, dropping the candle and lighting the bridge on fire. Sakura comes running out of the cave and right into Shaoran. She tells him what happens and he says Yamazaki vanished too. Sakura begins to cry and blame the ghost and Shaoran tells her to calm down and sense what's around her. She stops crying and realizes there is no ghost, but the aura belongs to a Clow Card! Syaoran gives Sakura a hankerchief and Sakura remarks he's really kind, making Shaoran blush. He summons his compass board and figures out the card is coming from the shrine across the bridge. Syaoran says it's too dark but Sakura still has her return trip candle. He lights the candle with a fire Ofuda, and Sakura calls him amazing, causing him to blush again. Sakura then asks why he is collecting the cards, Shaoran says he is doing it to avoid the world's destruction. Sakura remembers what Kero-chan said about the world's destruction, but Shaoran further elaborates from a book Clow wrote 'that when the seal of Clow is broken a disaster will befall the world. When the disaster begins the day of eternity will come because of the heart's prayer'. Sakura asks what the disaster actually is, but Shaoran says he doesn't know but he has come to Japan as the Li family's representative to stop the disaster. Sakura says Kero-chan told her the disaster would affect each person differently, and Syaoran surmises that means for each person it would be like the world's destruction. They decide to go look for the card again and when they come to the bridge they find it burned down. Sakura wants to use Fly, but Shaoran warns her not to because the card will sense it, and instead uses a wind Ofuda to carry them across. Suddenly Shaoran begins to disappear and tells Sakura to seal the card. Sakura is scared but Syaoran encourages her, telling her that her friends will all be gone if she doesn't seal the card. Sakura rushes over to the shrine of the cave and seals the card. Shaoran returns to normal and Sakura offers him the card, Shaoran refuses, blushs and runs off leaving Sakura in the dark. The next day no one remembers what happened in the cave but Naoko finishes her story, saying that no one returned because people found a secret entrance at the back of the cave to escape and just before she can tell a real ghost story, Sakura rushes her off to play. But before they do play, Sakura thanks Syaoran for his help, causing him to blush again.

But when she stops by Yukito's house she notices he's not there, however he is there and calls her down from the roof to invite her for tea. While Touya and Shaoran are distracted, Yukito offers to take Sakura to buy the protection charm. They take a back way and notice dozens of tiny lights in the woods, which they find unusual since there are no fireflies in fall. Suddenly Sakura remembers her dream and decides this would be the perfect time to tell Yukito how she feels. But before she can, Shaoran and Touya come stomping in to give their prizes to Sakura and Yukito. Sakura is happy to have the rabbit from her brother, but wished she had a little time to tell Yukito how she feels. Yukito decides to take Shaoran for some shaved ice as thanks for the rabbit toy. Sakura takes Tomoyo back to the woods and before Touya can stop her, Kaho appears. Yukito asks where to buy the protection charms and when he goes off Touya asks why Kaho has returned. She says something will wake. Back in the woods Sakura explains to Tomoyo that she saw the lights in her dream and they are in reality a Clow Card. Sakura seals the card and thanks it for giving her a wonderful evening. Yukito runs over and gives Sakura the charm he bought.
