Broken Hearts

When a strong heart is broken, the power from it gradually seeps out. The person can still love others and gain power, but loose power at the same time. The power from a strong hearted person might take form, and can be let in if they find there way back to the person heart. But if that persons heart has already sealed up, the form will grow evil and out of control. This is the story of one of those forms. Lola.

"Torika, Torika?" Sakura said as she gently shook her daughter, "You're going to be late for school if you don't wake up now."

"I'm up I'm up!" Torika moaned as she rubbed her eyes.

A few minutes later, Torika was on her scooter, rushing to school. "Oh man oh man! Come on, this thing isn't fast enough! Wait I have an idea!" Torika said as she grabbed her heart key, "Key of my heart, with the power of love and light. Unveil the scepter and unleash my might! RELEASE! Dash card, lend your power to my scooter, release!"

Torika zoomed past everything! "Too Fast!" And before Torika knew it, she went head first into a bush.

"Ouch, man that hurt." She said as she grabbed her scepter, "The forest, it…it feels kind of strange."

Torika heard something behind her, she quickly turned around but, nothing was there. Then she heard it again, but still nothing. Torika looked down at her watch, "Uh-oh, I'm gonna be late!" But while she was looking down, Torika saw a shadow, like hers.

Torika turned around, "Who are you!"

"I'm you." She said

"What do you mean you're me? The only on who is me, is me!"

"Well you did make me."

"What do you mean?"

"I came from your heart when it was broken."

"My heart was broken?"

"When your heart did break, my spirit was created. Your heart gave me more and more power. But when your broken heart closed, I couldn't draw more power, or return into your heart. So I am not whole! And you are the only one who can give me what I want!" She stepped out of the darkness, "My name is Lola."

"I will never let evil into my heart!" Torika shouted.

"Fine then. Key of Torikas broken heart, with the power of hate and the dark, unveil the scepter and make your mark! RELEASE!" And with that final word, a scepter that looked exactly like Torikas appeared in Lola's hand, the only difference was that the heart on her scepter was broken, "Jump!"

"Her cards, the broken heart cards. Hey wait up! Jump!" Torika said.

Lola had long red hair and brown eyes. That was the only difference between her and Torika. She was wearing a black dress, a lot like Torikas heart dress. "What do u want Lola?"

"Let me in Torika! Then my power will be whole, I can take revenge on people who have hurt us!"

"I would never let you in!"

"Alright then, I don't need your help. I know who hurt you!" And with that she summoned the fly card and flew off into the distance.

"I'm in trouble, and looking at the time if I don't get to school now, I will be in serious trouble!" Torika said as she got her scooter and went to school.

"I'm sorry I'm late Mr. Star!" Torika said as she ran through the door.

"It's ok Torika, just go sit down." He replied.

"Torika why were you so late?" Maddy asked.

"I met a girl named Lola, she's…..she's me."

"What do u mean she is you?"

"She came from my heart when it was broken and now my heart is close, she has turned evil. Lola said she is gonna take revenge on everyone who hurt me. Hey where is Natsume?"

"She went to the bathroom ages ago, but never came back."

"LOLA!"

"Is something wrong Torika?" Mr. Star asked

"Um I need to go to the bathroom."

"Ok, but be quick, you already have some catching up to do. And while you are there, can you tell Natsume to hurry up?"

"Yes sir."

Torika ran down the hallway, looking in every toilet there was. Finally she saw Natsume. "What do you want from me?" She cried.

"You hurt me, remember? Well this is my revenge!" Lola said.

"Leave my friend alone!" Torika said, "Key of my heart, with the power of love and light. Unveil the scepter and unleash my might! RELEASE! Shot card!"

Lola dodged the shots attack. "From now on I think I will just go after you, your friends are a waste of time anyway. They don't even put up a good fight! See you soon!" Lola said as she used the through card to go through the wall.

"Who was she?" Natsume asked.

"She was me Natsume. But she doesn't have a heart." She replied.

"We have to find away to beat her!"

"If you're so smart, you figure it out"

"Are you ok Torika?"

"I'm sorry Natsume. Even though my heart is ok now, I think I know what caused it to break. My mom, when she got hit by that car," Torika said as tears trickled down her face. "I know I can wake her up again, the cards have given me hope, but the feeling I had then, it hurts so much!"

It had been a long day, Torika laid on her bed looking through her cards. "How am I supposed to get rid of her??" She thought, "Am I supposed to let her back in? But if I do, I will turn evil."

Kero came bursting through the door. "Thank goodness your dads not in! There is a big cheesecake…well there was a big cheesecake. I just couldn't resist."

"Kero, I have something to tell you."

Kero sat down beside Torika and she explained everything. "She needs to be purified." He said.

"Purified? What with?" She asked.

"The heart cards."

"But….but she will just use her broken heart cards back."

"There is one thing you have that she doesn't! Love! You have people that care about you Torika. Use it to fight her!"

The phone started ringing. "Hello? Oh hi Maddy, I need an outfit for a battle! Cool. Meet me by the forest." Torika then put the phone down, "And on that note we are off! Let's go dispose of the Lola problem!"

"Maddy? You here?" Torika said as she entered the forest.

"Sorry I'm late Torika, I just had to get this outfit perfect." Maddy said.

Torika put on the outfit. It was a light pink dress with red fingerless gloves and black boots. "It's wonderful Maddy. Knowing you put a lot of love and care into this gives me strength." Torika said, "Key of my heart, with the power of love and light. Unveil the scepter and unleash my might! RELEASE! Fly!"

Torika flew up into the night sky! "Ok Lola show yourself!"

"You know, I kind of liked terrorising your friends, it's a good way to pass the time! Key of Torikas broken heart, with the power of hate and the dark, unveil the scepter and make your mark! RELEASE!" Lola said as she grabbed the scepter and summoned her fly card.

"Sword!" Torika shouted.

"Illusion!" And as soon as Lola said that, Torika was surrounded by Lolas!

Torika slashed through each of the Illusions "Too tired."

"Remember when your mother got hit by that car, remember that feeling? Nobody loves you!"

"No, no I can't! I…I" Torika put her hands on her head, trying not hear anything she said, but it got through! Torika fell to the ground.

She could feel the tree branches brushing past her. "Torika please wake up! We need you!" Maddy said as she tried to wake Torika up.

Torika was dreaming. She saw all the people she loved. But they were moving away. "No. My friends, my family. I need you and you need me. I love you all!" Torika said as all of the people started walking back to her.

She woke up. "Oh thank goodness." Maddy said.

"I was reminded that people do love me. Now let's end this right Kero……Kero?"

But when she turned around, he was gone. Lola had him. "Just evening up the odds! Take That!" Lola said as she threw Kero to the ground.

"Float! Catch Kero and bring him down to safety!" Torika shouted, "Maddy make sure he is ok."

"Ok." Maddy replied.

Torika summoned her fly card again and flew up to Lola. "Your right Lola! Let's end this!"

Torika and Lola clashed scepters. "Nobody loves you!" Lola said.

"You're wrong Lola. Maddy, Tai, Natsume, Hana, Kero, Yue, Daddy and Mommy! I love you all!" Torika shouted as she blasted Lola up against a tree, "Scepter of my heart, purify with my light. Use my love, right here tonight!"

Maddy and Kero looked up in amazement as Torika and Lola landed on the ground. Lola now looked exactly like Torika; her clothes were even the same. Torika was on her on her knees, she was exhausted. Lola looked down at Torika. "Take my hand!"

Torika looked up and saw herself. She grabbed onto Lolas hand. They both were stood up. "How do I open my heart?"

Lola walked up to Torika. Torika was a little worried what Lola was going to do, but Lola just hugged her, and disappeared into Torika.

"Torika are you ok?" Kero asked.

Torika nodded and smiled.
