Sweet Valetine's Day

by LilAngelKitty501
It is a lovely Sunday, February 13th afternoon and you know what that means-CHOCOLATES FOR VALENTINE'S DAY!

Torika is in her bedroom getting ready to leave for Maddy's house and is rushing because she is running a little late-like mother like daughter. Torika is finished and heads for the door. Sakura is on the couch doing some sewing.

Torika: Mommy, I'm leaving now for Maddy's. I should be home before dinner.
Sakura: Okay. What are all of you doing today anyway?
Torika: Oh we are making chocolates. You know because tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
Sakura: HOE! I completely forgot today was February 13th. I guess I should go and get some ingredients to make some of my own chocolates. After all it was been years since your father and your uncle have gotten some from me.
Torika: Yeah that's true. I'm sure they will be really happy. You don't mind if I make some for them too, do you?
Sakura: Of course not. Besides Valentine's Day is showing your love for other people and we both love Daddy and Uncle Tori.
Torika: Yup. Well I better get going I'm late enough as it is. Bye.
Sakura: Alright. Be careful and come home safe.

Torika heads over to Maddy's house and going extremely fast on her scooter. On the way she almost crashed it Tai though they didn't crash, they still both fell down.

Torika: I'm so sorry are you alright Tai?
Tai: Yeah, I'm okay, just a little dirty.
Tai gets just brushing himself off and lends Torika a hand.
Torika: Thanks.
She gets up.
Torika: What are you doing out anyway? I was on my way to your house.
Tai: Maddy said it would be best if I wasn't around while you were making the chocolates. Not that it's a bother. I understand that it's a girl thing. So don't worry about it.
Torika: Okay. I'll see you later then.

They head in their separate paths.

Torika finally manages to get to Maddy's house. Natsume and Hana have already arrived. They are in the kitchen already working on their chocolates.

Nastume: Oh, you finally showed up.
Torika: Sorry.
Hana: It's alright Ms. Torika. We were just getting started anyway.
Maddy: Alright let's get to work! And this will be the perfect opportunity to take pictures of Torika in an apron.

Maddy gets all heart eyed.

Natsume: Must you always take pictures?
Maddy: Of course. If I don't keep on doing it how am I suppose to surpass my mother?
Torika: Okay enough arguing you two.

The girls each make their own chocolates. Each concentrating on making them as best as they can with all their love into it and helping each other out as well with laughs along the way.

Natsume: Alright mine are done and they are absolutely perfect.

Natsume holds up her tray with two large milk chocolate hearts with an arrow going through it. In white chocolate one said "Happy V-day Daddy!" and the other said "I Love You."

Natsume: So what do you three think?
Torika: Wow (with cute smile)! They came out really good!
Hana: I'm sure who ever you are giving it to will enough it.
Maddy: I bet I know who the "I Love You" one is for. *giggles*
Natsume: Well…if you're so smart, you figure it out. Hey let me see yours.
Hana: Okay, since you asked.

Hana holds up a really large tray. The other girls see the tray and teardrop falls on their heads. Then Hana reveals all of her chocolates. The tray is filled with many, many, many chocolates of different shapes like hearts, flowers, and stars.

Natsume: Why did you make so many?
Hana: (puts tray down and goes into twinkling eye mode with hands together) Why, for all the nice and wonderful boys that I have met and come across like Mr. Star… Yue…Kyle…Mike…Dave…Zach…
Natsume: Sounds like for all the guys in our homeroom.
Hana: (out of twinkling eye mode) Almost. I'm not giving one to Jeri. There's something about him. (Back into twinkling eye mode) Eric…Andrew…James…Mark…Brian…Tommy…

Natsume, Maddy, and Torika heads drop lower with each name with teardrop still on heads and a -_- look on their faces.

Maddy: Hey Torika, let's look at yours.

Torika: Alright. But I got to say they're not that great.

Torika holds up her tray which also has little bit size hearts however hers are a little distorted and not as many as Hana.

Hana still listing names of the boys she's giving chocolates to:

Torika: (with an I made a mistake look on her face) So what do you think?
Natsume: Well, they certainly are unique.
Maddy: Yes indeed, but that's what makes them special and I'm sure they taste fine.
Torika: *he he* yeah I guess you're both right. I'm sure daddy and Uncle Tori would like them no matter what. (pause) Maddy let' see your chocolates.
Maddy: I only made one for my dad, it' nothing too special, although I'm not even sure if he'll be home tomorrow.

Maddy goes to get her plate with a single medium size Valentine heart decorated very fancy with chocolate lace, roses, and lettering.

Torika and Natsume become amazed by how it looks.

Torika: …Amazing.
Natsume: Looks like it's from a professional chocolate shop.
Maddy: (with a modest smile on her face) Why thank you very much.

Natsume: Why are you two not giving chocolate to any boys our age?
Maddy and Torika: (look at each other and straight to the point) Because you are already giving one to Tai.
Natsume: (blushing) That's not what I mean. I mean like a boy you like or have a crush on.
Maddy: I don't have someone like that.
Torika: Me either.
Natsume: Oh. Well can I ask you two a favor? (They nod) Umm, could you two possibly make chocolates and carry them around school with you? You don't have to actually give it to anyone, but it would make me feel better if more girls were giving chocolates to a boy they like.
The two think about it.
Maddy: Alright. I'll do it. Even though Hana has like half the school covered.
Torika: Sure. After all I like seeing people happy on Valentine's Day.

Hana: (popping out of no where still twinkling) Oh that is so sweet of you two.

So Maddy and Torika make more chocolate. They clean up kitchen. Then they wrap the chocolates up and put pretty ribbon around it. With chocolates in hand they head on home for dinner.

Torika: Thanks Maddy for letting us use you kitchen. See you tomorrow at school.
Natsume: Yeah thanks. Bye.
Hana: See you tomorrow.

The next day . . .

At Torika's house:

Li and Sakura in the kitchen

Sakura: Here you go Li; it's been a while since you received chocolates from me for Valentine's Day hasn't it? (Handing over a bag of Valentine's Day chocolate)
Li: Yeah it has been. And I will surely enjoy these. (Smiles)

Torika comes in, all dressed and ready for school with chocolate in hand.

Torika: Good morning.
Sakura: Good morning.
Li: Good Morning, you're awfully early this morning.
Torika: Yeah I know Daddy. I wanted to make sure I could give you these before you left for work. (Handing over bag of distorted hearts)
Li: Why thank you Torika.
Torika: You're welcome.

Doorbell rings

Sakura: I'll get it.

At the door is Tori.

Tori: Good morning
Sakura: Good morning. Come on in.

They walk to the kitchen.

Torika: (happy) Uncle Tori! I'm glad you're here. I made you some Valentine's Day chocolates. Sorry if they don't look that great but I tasted it and they taste perfectly fine. So you don't have to worry.
Tori: Thanks. (Pats her head)
Torika: Well I better get to school, I'm off.
Everyone: Have a great day!

Sakura: Here Tori I have chocolates for you too, though I'm sure you get many being so famous.
Tori: Yeah you're right, except those won't kill me.
Sakura: What did you say!?!
Tori: Well not really kill but more like make me feel uneasy.
Sakura: How dare you?!?!

They continue to have to brother sister fight, while Li is sitting at the kitchen table finishing his breakfast and getting ready to leave through the back door.

Li: (thought bubble) Hmm. Sure has been a while since those two argued like this.

At Reedington Elementary:

Everyone is arriving, homeroom is about to start soon.

Maddy, Natsume, and Hana have already arrived and are at their desks with chocolates and waiting for Torika to arrive but knows that she will probably rush in at last minute but to their surprise she isn't.

Maddy: Good morning Torika.
Natsume: Wow you're early today.
Torika: Yeah. I woke up early today because I wanted to give my dad his chocolates before he left.
Natsume: Hey Torika did you remember to bring those chocolates.
Torika: Uh huh. They are right here. (Takes them out of her backpack)

Zaki Yamazaki suddenly comes over.

Zaki: Did you know that Valentine's Day didn't always use to be all nice and lovey-dovey. It used to be a holiday where men would fight for just to not eat one piece of chocolate because the chocolates were made along with some weird and strange ingredients and not all were edible. And they weren't decorated that nice either, it looked more like dirt clumps.

Jeri comes over to join in.

Jeri: Isn't it true that they had elaborate stadiums set up?
Zaki: Uh huh. Huge ones with large crowds of like millions. And they would sometimes fight for hours…
Jeri: Or even until death. But the main entertainment was watching the men eat the chocolate in the end. That is what most people came to see.

Zaki takes Jeri's hand and shakes it.
Zaki: this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Torika: Wow! That was sure some story.
Natsume: I don't believe a single word.
Maddy: *giggles*
Hana: …?!

Miya Amaya comes over, grabs the back of Zaki's uniform by the neck and drags him off.

Miya: You've been listening to your father's ridiculous stories again haven't you? Girls don't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth. They are all lies.
Zaki: What are you talking about? It's the truth.
Miya: Sure it is. My mother is always saying how you and your father are so much a like. I can't believe we are related.

Back to the girls

Torika: (confused) It was a lie?

Homeroom starts. They go through their classes and it's time for lunch break.

Hana with a huge basket filled with her chocolates starts handing them out.

Maddy: I guess we won't see her for a while.
Torika: (teardrop on head) Yeah. I guess not.
Natsume: I'll catch you two in a bit there's something I have to do.
Maddy: Alright then. *chuckles*

Natsume leaves to go look for Tai.

Maddy: (smile on face and camera in hand) Let's go follow her a bit. This is too good a chance to pass up.
Torika: Well… I do kind of want to see how it goes.

They go to find Natsume and Tai, who are located in a quite place with no one else around. Torika and Maddy are behind a wall watching from the side.

Natsume: (nervous ad blushing) Uh Tai, do you have a minute?
Tai: Yeah, why don't we go over to that bench?
Natsume: Alright.

They go over and sit down.

Natsume: Tai, well today is Valentine's Day (turns to side to get chocolates out of her backpack) so I made you a chocolate heart…

When she turned around, he was gone.

Natsume: Huh. Where did you go?

Torika and Maddy fell to the ground because they saw what happened and are kind of in disbelief. Hana had grabbed Tai by the arm and pulled him away when Natsume was getting the chocolate-she was too nervous to notice.

Hana and Tai in another location:

Hana: (with her basket still half filled with chocolates) Hey Tai, do you think you could transform to Yue for a second?
Tai: Uh, I don't think that's a good idea, we are in school right now.
Hana: Okay. I understand then can you give these to him later? (hands him small bag)

Natsume comes very angry.

Natsume: Here you are. Why did you leave?
Tai: Sorry Natsume. Hana kind of just grabbed me and dragged me here.
Natsume: I see so this is all your fault! How dare you interrupt people when they are in the middle of something!
Hana: Hmm….I sure am getting a lot of responses like that today.
Natsume: (really, really angry) OH MY GOSH ARE YOU SERIOUS?

They continue there fight and argue who gets Tai for rest of lunch break.

Back to where Maddy and Torika are still on ground:
Torika: Wow I can't believe Hana did that.
Maddy: I feel bad for my brother.
Torika: Hey (getting up) let's go have lunch now. Huh, oh no when we fell, I crushed my chocolates. Oh well, maybe we can eat them now.
Maddy: Alright. You go on ahead to our usual spot. I'm going to keep watching them a bit to make sure they don't make a even bigger scene.
Torika: Okay then.

Torika heads on over to the usual place they have lunch which is by a large tree (kind of like Sakura and her friends). She sits on down and looks up and sees Jeri in the tree and somewhat high up.

Jeri: Hello there Torika.
Torika: Ugh hi, what are you doing up there?
Jeri: (smiling innocently) I was just enjoying the view but now I think I'll come on down. (gets up and jumps out of the tree and landing on a foot and knee next to Torika). Are you eating lunch alone today?
Torika: (surprised by his jump) N-No, Maddy I coming in a bit.
Jeri: Oh, I see. How about I stay with you until she comes so you're not lonely?
Torika: (back to her usual attitude toward him) I don't mind.

Torika gets out her bento and her crushed distorted chocolate hearts.

Jeri: Are those chocolates for someone special?
Torika: (thought: I wish Maddy would get here soon) No and besides they are all broken. (Trying to make small talk) So Jeri, you get any chocolates today for Valentine's Day?
Jeri: (still smiling) No I didn't get any.
Torika: (feeling sorry for asking) Oh I'm sorry. (thought: every guy gets chocolates in our class, even the ones you think wouldn't). Why don't you have the ones I made? They might not look that good but they taste just fine.

Hands Jeri the chocolates.

Jeri: (a little shocked and slightly blushing) I can't accept these. After all I'm sure you would have had wanted to give them to someone special.
Torika: Its okay you can have them, really. Um…I like to see everyone have a little happiness on Valentine's Day (note: changed from early line because of remembering fight with Hana, Natsume, and Tai)
Jeri: Well then. Thank you very much Torika. (smiles)
Torika: Okay (smiles to. Gets up a bit) Maddy is sure taking a long time I'm going to go look for her. (walks off a bit)
Jeri: I guess for an early White Day present I could keep out of your dreams on this sweet day.
Torika: (turning around) Did you say something?
Jeri: Oh just that 'I guess you better.' (smiles)

Torika turns back around to go look for Maddy and walk away.

Torika: What a weird guy.

Near by is Maddy smiling because she witness the whole thing between Torika and Jeri.

Maddy: AWW! How cute, too bad I couldn't hear what they were saying but best part was that I got some pictures! *giggles loudly*

Torika standing behind her and teardrop falls on head.

Torika: Uh. What's so funny? Maddy: Oh nothing. (turning to face Torika)
Torika: So what did you end up doing with your chocolate?
Maddy: I still have it. Why don't we go eat it together?
Torika: Isn't there someone you'd rather give it too?
Maddy: No, this is fine. (smiles)
Torika: Alright let's go. We still have some time left.

They walk to a nice place to enjoy it while talking about Hana, Natsume, and Tai.

THE END

My Notes:

Zaki is Zachary and Nikki's son and is pronounced ZAY-kee. The name is a combination of his mother and father. Though as much as I would love to have said Chelsea as the mother I cannot because Cardcaptor Torika follows the Cardcaptors version and in that version Zachary and Chelsea are said to be cousins and I don't want to do the whole incest thing. The reason I chose Nikki is because she is rather fond of Zachary's stories well in CCS anyway, I can't remember too much from the Americanized version of the story. Also I thought pairing him with Rita/Rika would have been a little too far fetched she seems a little too mature for him. And also the Cardcaptors version never had last names for the Sakura's classmates so I just used the Japanese ones.

Zaki's story about Valentine's Day was completely made up by me. Though in the manga Yamazaki did have a story but I thought I should've come up with my own idea and I was trying very hard to come up with something. By the way I wrote this before I read the manga so I had no idea there was already a Yamazaki story. (Random note: I just noticed the Zaki is the last part Yamazaki. LOL. Well it's pronounced differently.)

Miya Amaya is Chelsea's daughter and is Zaki's cousin. I just looked through a list of Japanese names to get this name. I thought I was going for a name that began with 'c' but I didn't really like any of them.
