Chapter 1: One Fateful DayDisclaimer (continued): Takara, Teiru, Majo Hoshi, Hikaru, Kaitou thief Aiko, parasites of darkness, the five Servants of the King, the eight Purities, and the Shadow King are my ideas, and cannot be stolen or copied. "Long ago…there was a village in which peace thrived everywhere. The people of this village knew holy magic and that kept any impurities away. One day, a gruesome fiend known as the Shadow King broke this peace and threw the village into chaos by taking away the holy magic and making the village and it's people…vanish." "It took the strength of the eight Purities to finally defeat the Shadow King and seal him and his clan away. For a price, though, they had to scatter their emblems and be sealed themselves." All the students at Class 6-2 applauded at a brown haired, green eyed student with reading glasses on her. She took off the glasses and sat down in her seat. "I expected nothing better, Takara." A girl with long, black hair whispered to Takara. "Maddy, I always do my best." The teacher called on another student to pick up where Takara left off. "How's that manga of yours coming along?" Maddy showed her the manga and when Takara saw herself in a costume, she groaned and fell on the floor. "Takara?? What's up?" asked Maddy. __________________ "Torika, I cannot believe Maddy used me as the main character!" Takara groaned as she walked to drama class with her best friend. Torika and Takara looked alike (1), some would call them "twins" with a few differences. Torika was a bit shorter than her and preferred her hair down and straight rather than in a ponytail. Both were very smart girls but Torika had a higher G.P.A. (2) than her counterpart, that caused a grade skip. Unlike Takara, who was a quiet, reserved girl, Torika loved the spotlight and attention. "Calm down, girlfriend. Maddy just likes manga." Torika assured her. "Let's hope she grows…huh?" The twin noticed a purple ring on her friend's finger. "Birthday present?" "Yep." __________________ 'I am so glad it's the weekend…' Takara thought as she walked through a cave. 'One more day working on Maddy's play and I would have screamed.' At that point a room with a seal inscribed on the floor came into view. The walls were filled with drawings and scriptures of an ancient history and two large doors were present. "The Purity Shrine." Her words echoed through the room. She began to walk around. 'Been in here once before, when I was little.' Her feet soon touched the center of the seal and it lit up due to her presence. "Oh, wow…Auditions are Monday, and I want to look my best to get the main role." Torika took off her school uniform and replaced it with a white dress. "The seal! Why is it…?" She didn't have time to continue due to the seal still reacting. The light reached eight circles and a compact appeared in front of Takara, which dropped into her hands as the light faded. "What was that about?" "You are the one." An anthro white cat with a mauve and white striped tail, large ears with pink insides, and a pink ring on her tail walked up to her. "The one to free the eight Purities. Name's Teiru (3)!" The cat extended a paw. "Nice to meet'cha!" Takara shook the cat's paw. Torika was so caught up in her fantasy that she didn't notice her ring glow. She froze up and blacked out. _____________________ "What else should I draw up?" Maddy was in her room hard at work at her manga. She had working on it for some time now and she wasn't stopping until it was her time to turn in. "Huh?" She felt her forehead, which was pretty warm. "Oh, you seem to be sick…" A shadow appeared next to Maddy's own. "Let me give you some medicine." "What medi-HEEEELLLPPPP!!!" A purple shock coursed through her body and she collapsed giving off a black aura. "The return of the Shadow King will start here. And since the Purities are in eternal sleep, nothing can stop me, the king, & my clan from rising again!" A figure in black laughed manically. _______________________ The next day was perfect for Takara and Maddy to meet again, but someone was not too happy about why. "YOU fit me in that?" "Of course, we gotta practice for the play!" The duo took positions. "Hi, girls." A high-school man with black hair came up to the duo and they immediately got stars in their eyes. "You two are practicing for Maddy's play, I believe." "Hello, Tai!" both called out. Tai was in ninth grade and a member of the music club in which he plays the piano. Maddy, Torika, and Takara had huge crushes on him. "Yeah, we're gonna-eh?!" Maddy's heart began to beat and she quickly changed the subject. "Oh, Tai?" "What's up?" "I lov-" Maddy began to shake and land on her knees as she turned pale. "Maddy!" "Are you okay?" Takara asked. "Takara!" a voice piped up. It came from an iPod-like gadget in Takara's shirt pocket. "It's a parasite!" "Tai, watch Maddy over." She ran to where her clothes are and took out the gadget. Teiru appeared on screen. Meanwhile, the parasite appeared out of Maddy's back and infected Maddy's book bag, which turned into a monster. "They're starting they're attack, Teiru?" "Yeah, you have to transform into the fighter Majo Hoshi (4)!" "Got it! Why are you stuck like this?" "Simple, I can remain in my regular form, but only for a short time (5). Change the subject. Remember your compact you got?" She held it up and it opened to reveal a gold inside and a purple heart gem. "Wave your hand over the jewel." "Like this?" She did so and the jewel shined rainbow colors allowing the same seal from the Purity Shrine to appear beneath her feet. "Purities! Link your strength to me!" Her current clothing was reduced to ribbons as the boots became white slipper-like shoes. Blue pants with a white stripe on each side covered her legs and she garnered a blue general's coat over a black tank. On the waistline was the gadget in a small case and the compact became part of a necklace. "Not sure what happened, but for now…" she put her hands behind her back and winked. "call me Majo Hoshi!" The book bag-turned monster began to wreck the park and it's trees. "Hey!" Majo Hoshi approached the fiend. "You're just being plain rude!" The monster's rebuttal: firing a bunch of books at her. "Those! Are! Maddy's! Sketches!" _________________________ "I should've known a thing like this would happen." Teiru was in a cyber area looking at screens. "Hoshi (6), you're looking at a wood-element shadow beast. A parasite infected your friend and made it's way to her bag. Be careful, by utilizing the negative energy of the trees and plants, it gets stronger." he then found a blinking icon. "I'll send your Prince's Rod to you now." He touched the icon and a ball of light was sent to Majo Hoshi's hand. It turned into a staff with a blue glass ball and black handle. The monster fired again. "Hurry and heal it!" "How am I supposed to do that?" Takara yelled as she ran. "The wires…You can restrain and weaken it with the telephone wires. Not sure how you'll do it, due to wood being effective against electricity." "Leave it to me, Teiru." She ran off and the monster followed. When she passed the wires, she jumped onto the post. As planned, the straps got caught on the other post. Majo Hoshi jumped off and the ball on her rod glowed as she pointed to a fountain. "Mizuiro no Mahou (7)! Water stream!" The water rushed from the fountain to the monster and electrocuted it. 'Oh wow…' Teiru thought. "Takara, you can activate your Prism Shard Storm to heal that monster!" "All right!" The ball glowed again as she pointed the rod up. "Courage, Friendship, Love, Knowledge, Faith, Hope, Purity, and Light! Unite as one!" She drew a triangle with the rod. "Prism Shard Storm!" The triangle broke and formed pieces of energy that flew at the monster, which released it's parasite and fell to the ground. The black seed tried to fly off. "Oh, no, you're not going anywhere!" Teiru returned to his original form carrying a net. He chased and caught the parasite, which turned into a green music note and went into a slot. "Teiru and Hoshi in the lead by one!" The park was restored. ___________________ "After that incident, I don't feel too good…" Maddy complained. "Here, I'll walk you home." Tai offered and they both went off. Takara was looking at the two, now leaving the park. "If Maddy ever gets the chance to confess her love to Tai, they would be a good couple. Right, Teiru?" She got no response. "Teiru?" The screen was off on her gadget, "Good grief, you fell asleep already?! Geez…" Takara walked home. That figure watched everything. "I'll have to alert the generals." It vanished when a few rose pedals danced in the wind. Next time: Takara: That voice again…Ack! I forgot about you, Teiru! We gotta wake those Purities up, because I can't defeat the Shadow King alone! There's backstage crises in drama class, too! Aah! Help! Next time: Drama Queen and Love #9?! See ya! Notes
