It was unusually rainy tonight in Nara, the forecast did not say there was to be an inch of rain later that night. Very few cars drove by, because everyone was already home. At a temple, Hana came by her room window & she saw five crows attacking something, or rather, someone. That someone's body got covered in light as the crows flew away, flying as fast as possible. Hana shielded her eyes from the light, and after a few seconds, the light died down and in it's wake were balls of light floating upward revealing a human boy, out cold on the ground. She lowered her guard, saw the boy, took her umbrella and went outside. __________________ "Nya…(1)?" Teiru woke up in the temple where he was covered in sheets, lying on a small mattress, head resting on a pillow. He sat up and looked around, observing the room. It was plain and simple, an empty room, save for a small table and a mirror. When he looked in the mirror, he was different. The tail still had it's ring and in it's proper place, but it became two times it's original size. Replacing his normal cat body was a body of a human's with short, jet black hair with blue streaks and light green eyes. 'My ears, my face, they're different. Even my paws became hands and feet. Oh no…' His new eyes began to show signs of panic. 'I just-TURNED HUMAN!!' "NYYYAAAAA!!!!!" "What happened?" An elderly lady came in wearing Shinto robes with an alert look. Teiru was flabbergasted as he tried to explain what happened. "Nya, nya! Nya nyan nya!!" Unfortunately, that was all that came out. "What?" "Nya nyan nya! Nya nyan!" "Oh, dear…Hana, can you come in here, please?" "In a minute, grandmother-su! I have a customer-su!" Hana called out and Teiru stood up, immediately rushing to see who Hana was with. To Teiru's surprise, it was Takara busy conversing with Hana. Teiru smiled and tried to go to her, but he was pushed out by the grandmother. ____________________ "So, Takara, what brings you here-su?" asked Hana as the three were seated in the main room of the shrine. "Maddy, my friend, said there was a shrine here. She also said that you can get your fortune told here, too." Takara replied. "Very well-su. Hana ni Omakase (2)-su!" Hana held her hands out. "Place your hands on mine, close your eyes, and empty your mind-su." She did just the same. After a moment of focusing, she said: "There are going to be a lot of people being an influence your life-su. Who and where, I can't see, but I did see one dropping in on you-su." "NYYYYAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!" Wooden planks dropped down on the floor next to the Elder lady with a clatter. "Oh, uh, oh dear…Ouch!" Teiru dropped in on Takara, breaking his fall. "Are you OK-su?" Takara struggled up. "Yeah. Who's this, your apprentice?" Takara looked at a dizzy Teiru. "Not really. He was attacked by the shrine's crows when Hana found him. We had him rest here." "It was not a pleasant feeling, ya know." Teiru got up, & Takara saw the Tail Ring on his tail. He turned and said "Can we talk?" to Takara. She nodded & they both went to another room. _________________ "Don't you even recognize me?" He asked her. She still pulled blanks as she tried to figure out who Teiru was, for her, he was a tailed boy. "Yes, a tailed boy. 'Tailed boy. Tail…' Takara spotted the familiar looking tail. "Anata wa Teiru (3)?" "Bingo." Teiru reverted to cat form. "Listen, sorry for running away on you. I wanted to see what Nara was like. I was only a normal cat living only in the holy village, I didn't know what the place was like." "The village the Shadow King destroyed?" He nodded. "What's it like?" "Good question. Don't have a good answer, though." She fell to the ground. "Don't worry, I can ask Atem once we get the Courage emblem out of the stadium & wake him up." "Atem?" "Yep. He's the leader of the Purities, and he holds Courage. He & Seto managed to fight to the bitter end to seal themselves and the Shadow King away." "Maybe when we wake him up, he can tell me more about my mission." "For now, let's focus on tomorrow's game & getting that emblem." _________________ "Thanks-su!" Hana and her Grandmother waved goodbye to them both. 'I'll be coming for you…Atem. Wait and see, I'll do my best.' Takara thought as she opened the door home. "Tadaima (4)!" Just when we were about to take it, that arrogant Captain shows up and swipes it so he can make up with Hana! We have to show him that what he's doing is wrong. But how? He won't listen!
