The Five Opera Divas of Doom: Intermission By Valarauko

A Note from Clowprincess: This fanfiction actually Satires me and Cardcaptor Torika, but that's okay. If I found them funny, you shouldn't take them seriously either ^^

Intermission: With Commentary from Valarauko, your composer
Lulu says. "Hello, I am Lulu and this is my house. Be comfortable. Oh and is that chocolate for me?" She grabs it from the guest. Lulu is one of my least favorite opera characters because she is mean.
"I am Torika Showron." The guest replied. Why did I come? She thought. She can because it is a Fanfiction.
"And who is the handsome young man accompanying you?" Lulu asked.
"This is Tai Greening." Torika introduces.
Lulu says. "You are just in time! We have a whole table full of appetizers in the back, and dancing will begin…when I say it begins!" See what I mean? And the irony between my first and second usage of the word 'meaning'.
Torika answers, "Umm..alright."
Lulu smiles. "Just don't stand in the hall!"
She opens the big twin doors to reveal a ballroom filled with many guests.
Carmen and Erscamillo approach them. "We have heard so much about you, Torika." Carmen says. It's all the fault of Jack the Ripper!
Torika blinks. "How?!"
Before she can get an answer, the band begins to play the William Tell Overture. Guillame Tell is actually rarely staged because it is long and has the hardest Tenor role in Opera. But the Overture!
Erscamillo shakes his head. "Lulu never learns."
They go off. Tai says aloud. "Where is everyone going?"
A girl answers. "To line up in pairs for the dancing. I am Gretal." Hansel and Gretal is the Opera I almost saw.
"Of Hansel & Gretal fame?" Tai asks. He is in awe.
Gretal says. "Do you want to be my partner? Most years I usually end up being a wallflower. My brother can't stand me most of the time!"
Tai smiles. "I can't stand being with my sister most of the time. We have something in common." Tai forgets Torika and goes with Gretal.
Torika sighs. A boy them comes up to her. He asks. "My sister has a date. Now I need one. Please!!! I will do anything!"
Torika grasps his hand.
The Announcer begins. "Presenting our guests."
"Euridiyce and Orpheus." These guests are first because Euridice is the oldest surviving opera, dating to 1600.
"Aricia and Hippolytus." They are from the early Opera, Hippolyte and Arcie by Rambeau. I like Rambeau.
"Ilia and Idamante." Creations of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself for the Opera Illamando.
"Cressida and Troius." From the pen of William Shakespere. Never made into an Opera, but I wanted to balance the Wagner & Shakespeare creations.
"Penelope and Odysseus." Many early Operas were based on Mythology.
"Poppea and Ottone." Poppea on the other hand is about Poppea Sabrina, Ancient Roman Emperor Nero's first wife.
"Isolde and Tristan." One of Wagner's earliest hits. Familiar to any movie goers?
"Armide and Renaud." This lady and this knight are from the time of the 1st Crusades.
"Romeo and Juliet." Do I need to introduce these two?
"Leanore and Florestan." These two are the stars of Beethoven's only Opera, Fidelio.
"Clara and Jake." These two are black and are from the opera Porgy & Bess. I know it has been considered racist in the past, but I am not racist which is why they are included here. Clara is the role that sings "Summertime" for all you music fanatics.
"Minnie and Johnson." From The Golden Girl of the West. One of Puccini's last works.
"Lisa and Hermann." From the Queen of Spades, a Russian Opera. I love Russian history and culture.
"Cio-Cio San and Suzuki." The star of Madame Butterfly and her servant, a Puccini piece.
"Gretal and Tai." Tai looked very happy and could not take his eyes off the beautiful German girl in his arms.
"Torika and Hansel." They both looked uneased.
"Burnhilde and Siegfried."
"Carmen and Erscamillo."
"Tosca and Mario."
"And presenting our hostess & host… Lulu and Erscullion!"
Everyone was silent.
Lulu had an anvil chorus. An anvil chorus is a highlight of a famous Opera. Look it up for yourself.
And then she attempted to dance with her second husband. It was like watching a car crash.
Everyone else started dancing too, mostly so not to anger Lulu. Carmen led everyone in a wave of Gypsy folkdances. Tosca entertained everyone with her singing and dancing. Brunhilde was busy trying to keep Juliet and Isolde from killing each other. Gretal & Tai were licking icing off their fingers. Do not think perverted thoughts when you read this, they are eating gingerbread!!!
Then the Bell rang at midnight. The champagne & lemonade poured freely.
And Torika and Hansel thankfully unclasped hands and went home.
The End
